I attended the Mandalorian & Grogu premiere in Shanghai and really enjoyed the movie. I can see why some people might view it as an extended version of the TV show, but I do think it stands on its own as a very entertaining film. It has the right mix of familiar characters from the Mando-verse alongside a few new faces, without being overly overwhelming. It was even more significant for me because I was looking for those tiny details—like the specific stitching on the gloves and boots—that I know all too well.
